Does anyone remember an old toy construction set?
There was this toy I had as a kid. It had a grey track which this orange little battery operated motor ran around on and picked up different bright yellow “bodies”. One body was a dump truck, another was a “loader”. I think there was a third, but I don’t remember… Anyways, basically the dump truck would move these little black marbles/balls around and dump them in one area, then the loader would scoop them up and put them into another, where the dump truck would pick them back up…. Everyone in my family remembers the set, but can’t think of who made it or what it was called. Any help would be awsome.
I’ve checked Tyco, but still can’t find it.

Found it.. Called “Big Loader”. Tomy Toys made it (and still does). Unfortunatly the new one is really bright with a red track instead of the old grey one. I want the ORIGINAL, not the new one, but you can look up “Big Loader” on Amazon. They have it and some newer ones based on Thomas the Tank Engine (which makes no sense considering it is based on construction!)

Can anyone troubleshoot my hydraulics?
I have a 1998 ASV HD4520, skid steer loader. The bucket works on a manual, not electric, joystick controller. I had the lift cylinders rebuilt about two weeks ago. The machine has been working fine. Yesterday one of my workers was trying to get a piece of a stump out of the ground and the bucket popped off of the root and shook the hell out of the machine. Ever since that happened, the tilt on the bucket will not work. All of the hydraulics work off of the same motor. (tracks, lift, tilt, and aux.) Everything else is working fine. The tilt will only dangle when there is no pressure applied. There aren’t any leaks. I removed on line, there is pressure. no matter which direction I try to tilt it, it tilts downward. when I let off, it dangles. Can anyone tell me what is happening? I am lost. Thanks in advance. You can email me @ dstreedirtyahoo.com. Any literature on this would be greatly appreciated also.

Anyone hear this joke?
It’s a joke, not a riddle, so only a little brain strain here. You have to figure out the punch line.
For many years, Hyster has been a center point of production of fork lifts, or fork trucks for others. Indeed, their machines are very well thought of.
But what some wouldn’t know is that, two years ago, Hyster started another project, one that would revolutionize the industry and make lifting of heavy things on pallets even easier. This project was codenamed the “One California” project, for their center in California.
However, the stamp on the project was too long, so, in an effort to make it fit, they shortened “one california” by turning the word “one” into its numerical equivalent and shortening California to the 3 word abbreviation.
And then someone put the newly stamped sign on their prototype. The CEO looked at it and exclaimed “We’ll be the laughing stock of the industry with this. Nobody would dare take us seriously.”
Care to guess why? Feel free, and then explain.
Hint. The stamp all went on one line, with the company name first.
Hint 2: Both the name of the company and the shortening of California were stamped in entirely capital letters.
Does anyone know about Catepillar Forklifts? Specifically, the mechanics of the forklift?
We have an older forklift, which runs great and serves our purposes but there is one problem with it. The internal mast rises before the forks are fully extended/lifted…..howev… you want to say it…..The problem that it causes is the mast hits the ceiling and the bottom of the pallet being lifted is only 8-9′ off the floor. I need the forklift to reach up another 3′ so that I can get it on the top shelf of the pallet racking that I just bought. Does anyone know how to change the order of how the forklift raises the forks so that the forks rise before the internal mast starts to rise? Is it even possible?

Does anyone know about planetary drive gears on a track loader?
I have an ASV skid steer loader with tracks on it. The tracks are driven by a Planetary Gear assembly. Does the fluid just help to keep it cool and lubricated or does it play a role in the engagement of the gears as well? The track on this machine will grab and go every once in a while and sometimes it will not move. The drive motor seems to be working fine. I am havong intermittent power through this planetary drive assembly. Can anyone help?
